I'm a practicing Satanist [LaVeyan], because it fits my personality and was the only "religion" that made any sense after being raised Pentecostal Holiness and spending a couple years as an IFB [Independent Fundamentalist Baptist - the ones who think Jerry Falwell was a raging liberal and Billy Graham a total and complete sell-out]. Most of the "darker" aspects of my personality were there before I ever embraced Satanism though. If anything, it's made me more of a positive, happy, productive person. I love mind-fucks, both in the bedroom and in real life. There's something deliciously fun and wicked about taking a person's perception of reality and playing with it like a piece of silly putty. For much the same reason, I enjoy the study of psychology, sociology, and religion - they are all tools or analysis of these same forces. I don't take myself, or much else in life, too seriously. It's all fun and games, so enjoying life to its fullest, and living life as you want it, not as you are told or expected to, is the highest and best goal that anyone can reach. My sexual interests cover all sorts of bases, but they tend to come and go in cycles.
